Immerse Ground Breaking

On May 2nd, 2023 Immerse will hold the ground breaking of its new shelter: The Station. This shelter will be the first of its kind in Arkansas, serving specifically young adults ages 18-24. You can join them in the ground breaking ceremony!

On any given night last year, more than 100 youth were sleeping on the streets in central Arkansas. Our community had no solution designed for youth who are experiencing homelessness. Often, the homeless shelters do not feel safe for youth and so they choose to couch surf or to camp somewhere outside or on the street.

Immerse serves youth in our state who have experienced abuse, neglect, and trauma. Youth who transition out of foster care often don’t have the same support systems that they need to begin their adult life. Immerse is there for them and provide them with care and resources.

The Station is an addition to Immerse’s lineup of resources for at-risk youth: Emergency Shelter, Youth Center, Transitional Program and Alumni Support programs. Those in need can also get showers, wi-fi, coaching, healthy meals, and do their laundry.

If you’d like to attend Immerse Ground Breaking of The Station, here are the details of the event:

WHEN: Tuesday, May 2nd 10:00am

WHERE: Future Site of The Station 3201 Mary Street Little Rock, AR 72204
